SOCIAL MINISTRIES AT GRACE LUTHERAN ON GOING:
QUILTING for over 30 years, women AND men have made and distributed an
average of 60 quilts to non profits locally and worldwide. Quilting
materials are donated.
Initiated 13 years ago, the making and distributing of about 350 turbans
yearly for our local oncology centers. More than 5800 turbans have been
donated since inception. A “start up kit” was developed and given out for
other churches wishing to initiate their own Joanna Project.

CHOW monthly needs highlighted
SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER
Serving quality and made to order pancakes since at least 1987. This project
involves most congregation members serving with enthusiasm in some
capacity. Funded by a “free will donation”. The proceeds are designated for
various activities. 2016 proceeds help send the youth of Grace to National
Convention in New Orleans.
HOMELESS VETS MINISTRY
Sunday Door collections for house hold products needed at Veterans homes in
Binghamton. Christmas meal at their home with warm socks distributed to
residents. 4th of July picnic support.
Maintain hot and cold water dispenser for clients and families.
MILK FOR KIDS
Coupons for milk given to children over Christmas and Easter vacation.

Adult Respite Care: drop off respite care two afternoons weekly for elderly
